Hello all !

as I said before, I am a person who really likes to read books. The problem sometimes is that I never really know which books to read or which are beautiful below I will discuss some books that I liked already and briefly tell what they are about. Have fun reading!

ONE OF US IS LYING

The first book I will talk about is the last book I read and is called one of us lying. This is a book written by Karen M. McManus.

On a Monday afternoon five students of Bayview High have to stay.

Bronwyn, the nerd, gets high marks and always sticks to the rules.

Addy, the diva, is the ideal Homecoming-princess.

Nate, the criminal, has a suspended sentence for dealing drugs.

cooper, the athlete, is the star player of the baseball team.

simon, the maverick, Bayview Highs has developed its infamous gossip app.

But Simon never leaves the classroom again. Before the hour is up, Simon is dead. And according to the police, it was not an accident. Simon died on Monday, but he was planning to send smooth gossip into the world on Tuesday about all four of his classmates. And that makes them suspects in a murder case.

All of them have a motif. All have something to hide. And one of them lies.

I don't have this book out at the moment but I can say that I think it is a beautiful and exciting book. The perspectives of the 4 main characters are constantly changing so I sometimes find it a bit difficult to remember in whom I read his perspective and therefore I sometimes find it difficult to follow. I give this book a 7/10 and I think it is a must.

13 MINUTES

The lifeless body of Natasha is found early in the morning in the river. After 13 minutes her heart starts beating again, but she can't remember how she ended up in the ice-cold water. Her best friends Hayley and Jenny seem to be hiding something. As the police investigate, Natasha talks to her psychologist and Hayley and Jenny jealously try to guard their secret, little by little it becomes clear what happened that night.

The nice thing about this book is that you can search through it for the person responsible for Natasha's 'accident'. Throughout the book you will find tips and instructions. I am sure this is a book that reads hake easily. I also give this book an 8/10.

SIREN

Years ago Kahlen was saved by the Ocean when she almost drowned. In exchange for her life, she has been a siren since then; she uses her voice to lure countless strangers into the depths. Although one word from Kahlen's mouth can be deadly, she prefers to spend her time ashore, looking forward to the people and longing for the day when she can speak and laugh again. Kahlen undergoes her sentence lonely... Until she meets Akinli. He is handsome, caring and kind. Akinli is everything Kahlen has ever dreamed of. She can't talk to him, but still something arises that both of them can't deny. Falling in love with a human breaks all the rules of the Ocean. But for the first time in her life in which she always followed the rules, she is determined to follow her heart.

I think this is a very special book. It has a special story to read. Also, I sometimes find it very difficult to understand what I am reading. I would give this book a 6/10.

THE NIGHT LIBRA

The sisters Vianne and Isabelle have always had a good relationship, despite their differences. Isabelle, the youngest and cheapest of the two, lives in Paris, while Vianne leads a quiet life in the countryside of France with her husband Antoine and their daughter. But then the Second World War broke out and Antoine had to fight along.

With the continuation of the war, not only the relationship between the sisters is severely tested, but also their courage and their sense of good and evil. Can Vianne betray her best friend when her child's life is at stake? Should Isabelle endanger her family if that means she can save lives? How can you survive when the world around you collapses?

I really loved this book. That's why I give it a 9/10. It's easy to read, the story is fun. The best part is that it is a true story. You can really empathize with the story. You feel the tension, the sadness,... This is definitely a must. This book consists of about 500 pages but, every page is definitely worth reading.

A small tip: don't immediately week which book you want to read. I usually look for books with young adult or best of YA.

Liefs joyce 💕
